3 DAYS TILL SURGERY!!!!

I am three days away from surgery and scared spitless. Have been waiting for a long time to do this, but when I started my journey down this path my husband was with me, being extremely supportive, now he is in Iraq and I am alone with our kids. Thank God my best friend is coming in the day prior to surgery to hold my hand! Any suggestions for when I come home and she leaves, and I am by myself with the kids? They are old enough to fend for themselves so no need to pick them up or anything, but they are in school all day and I have no idea how hard it will be post surgery. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I only had someone with me for the first 2 days. By then I was able to do everything without assistance, although I was still sore and the gas was not completely gone. It was completely do-able. I was alone all day from day three and actually was very happy because I needed the rest and quiet. You should do fine. Each day got better and better. By day 5 I was driving...still a little sore...but really not bad.
