Having Major Second Thoughts

I just had my meeting to discuss the pre-op diet, what the surgery will prevent me from having forever, B12 shots for the rest of my life. protein shakes for the rest of my life. I am feeling extremely discouraged. I am not sure i want to go through with this

I don't know who you are getting your information from, but there really isn't anything that you CAN NOT have with the sleeve. You gradually have to work into eating things again, but you can not ever not have things again. I was told that coconut and celery could be hard to digest, but not to ever not eat it again. Also, there aren't any medications that you can not take with the sleeve.

I take a sublingual B12, not the shots and I am anemic. So, don't know where you are getting that from either. I NEVER drink protein drinks, they are NASTY and I would rather eat my protein anyway, it stays with me longer than liquids do. I did drink them in the begining when I couldn't eat for the first 2 weeks, but that was it.

You really should do some research and if your Dr. told you this, find a new Dr.

Indeed you have. I have gone back and forth. Should I or shouldn't I? After much debate, I'm moving forward. Surgery is tomorrow. You will make the right choice for you. From my understanding the pre-op is the most difficult of the process. I wish you well and do right for your body. Sleeve or no Sleeve.

first 4 days of the liquid diet suck....i was cranky and mean to everyone. finally after the 4th day i was kinda used to it and wasnt that hard. my doc let me have string cheese and one egg a day. good luck!
