Hello, my name is BJ and I have just completed my Dr. evaluations and have 2 more monthly visits with my surgeon. My insurance company requires a 90 waiting period====so my Dr. believes that I will be having my surgery in October. He has requested that I "get rid of" 20-30 pounds before surgery. I have purchased protein shakes, cut out raw sugar and am now using splenda. I am doing all that I can to help myself be successful once I have had my surgery. It's nice to be a part of this VSG community. I have also begun uploading videos on youtube so that I can document my journey to being sleeved. The videos I watched prior to posting were so beneficial so my prayer is that I will be able to do the same.

Good luck to you, Hopefully we can keep track of one another. My daughter and I are both hoping to be sleeved in Oct.

You may want to start cutting back on carbs, especially bread, Pasta, rice, etc. They won't be on your menu after surgery.

The waiting IS the hardest part.

I agree waiting is the hardest part! I have found this site to be very helpful. If I have a question, usually someone has already asked it and it has been answered. It's a great support tool.
