I have attended two WLS seminars and have visited several doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital here in NYC ,,. I was contemplating the V. Sleeve or the lapband but after careful research I have my heart., mind and soul on getting the sleeve.. I just started the process and for the insurance (Aetna) 3months of regular doctor / psyh/ and dietician appointments..

Any comments .., suggestions are greatly appreciated....

Welcome Aboard MT! Glad you decided on the sleeve. I started out looking at the band too. After reading all the revision to sleeve I decided that was the better course. Nice to see you take charge of your life at an early age. Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome!

I started out with the band 4 years ago and hated it. I just had the revision to sleeve 4 weeks ago and couldn't be happier!

Keep us posted on all the pre-op stuff and your surgery. This is a great website!

Good luck to you on this exciting journey! I had my sleeve surgery just over one year ago at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan and I love the results I've had. I have lost just about 120 lbs and feel great! It was, without question, one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
