I did it!

Hello glorious board!

Just wanted to share that I was sleeved yesterday (5-10) by Dr. Nicholson. The surgery was a breeze and now I am recovering in my spacious room here at Forest Park Medical Center. I am sore and tired but so far so good. I started on liquids this morning and so far, plain jane Water is the best.

I just wanted to say 'thanks' to all of you that come and share you experiences on this board, I totally appreciate everyone's opinion!

I feel like my eyelids are wanting to cloe!

Have a wonderfu day everybody!

karen

Congratulations Karen! Mine is scheduled for Friday (me and my sister). Sleep well and keep us posted on your progress.

Congrats Red Velvet Gang girl!

Im opening an RV thread in Pot Op for all of us to post in too.

I am jealous that you sound like you can get Water down- I am having trouble with the early fluids and waiting for my poor sleeve to calm down!

I have taken three naps today! I don't feel the least bit guilty over it either! My nurse unhooked my PCA pump at 0600, so no more morphine for moi. I have only taken two pain pills today, and I have been walking up and down the halls every two hours or so. I am able to get my Water down and even some chicken broth. I can't wait to go home and see my kiddos tomorrow.

I also have to give a shout out to all the staff here at Forest Park Medical Center. This is a top notch facility and I couldn't be happier with the care I have received.

Have good night

Karen

very nice, Looking at your ticker, it looks like you did a great job pre-op already! Congrats on the Sleeve from a fellow Texan. Take it easy and recover so you ca rock that sleeve all the way to goal!

Hi, Karen So glad you are doing well and had surgery yesterday. Keep up the great work! I'm seeing my surgeon tomorrow morning first thing, then begins my preop diet! I think surgery will be some time around Memorial Day weekend--either the 27th or 31st of May. Take care and I hope you continue to feel well through your recovery period.

Wonderful, Karen! Home always feels good when you are recovering. Take care!

Congrats to you! I was sleeved on 4/25 at Memorial Hermann in Houston. I was exhausted and could barely keep my eyes open right after my surgery and the next day. I had my morphine hooked up until Wednesday, 4/27 but barely used like 4 mg per day. I took one dose of liquid lortab the day I left and was walking like a crazy woman!

I'm 2 weeks out now and feel GREAT! I am having a hard time getting my Protein in but I'm out of town training with my new job. I had no problems post-operatively and my surgeon was happy with my weight loss at my one week visit!

I look forward to hearing how you're doing and wish you the best!

Way to go, Karen!! I'm 1 week post op and doing great!!! Went for first check up today and lost 10 lbs!!!! It' s gonna happen for you, so keep the faith! And take advantage of nap time!! sweet (fat free of course)

dreams!!!

You can get ALL your water in? 64 plus ounces? Man I am so jealous! I will be lucky to get a liter in today. I find both ater , broth, tea, etc all cause discomfort in the sleeve and also burping. I really am trying. You are a lucky lucky woman!

Thanks rsr53. Tomorrow is the big day. Memorial day will be here before you know it. Stay posted.
