3 days out from being sleeved

Ok it's been three days since I was sleeved. I came home yesterday. I am in so much pain. I have walked and walked and walked. Luckily I have finally passed gas and that made me feel so much better. I begin to ask myself why did I do this to myself. I am not a happy camper. I have cussed myself up one side and down the other. But my doctor says that I'm doing really good b/c I doing alot of things on my own. I just want all of this gas to go away.

If you read on here, a lot of people, actually most, have gas. AND almost all have "buyer's remorse." Don't beat yourself up too bad. You will be so happy once you feel a little better. I have not been sleeved yet, 10 days!!, but I have read so much to know what you are feeling is normal and everyday will get better!

Then when you are a little ways out, you will be so happy you did it!

Good luck to you!

Kelly :D

I feel ya. The gas pain has been just horrible. Thankfully I'm 2 days out now and its almost all gone.

Walk, Walk, Walk!

It really does seem to help the gas go away. When I was first out I think all I did was sip, walk, rest. Boring but it seemed to work. Good luck and I hope that gas goes away quickly!

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear. Well just keep in mind this is with any surgery- its not because you got sleeved, you have "done this to yourself". My father just had prostate surgery, and he had the same gas pains. Now I see what I have to look forward to when I am sleeved in a couple of months. But from what I've read, after the gas has 'passed', it is all better after that. I hope you feel better soon!

I was sleeved on the 6th so now officially one week, the first few days are the worse, In minnesota they keep us in the hospital for 3 days, the nurses really keep you on a schedule of pain med/nausea meds and walking really helps, also on Clear liquids for 7 days after surgery. I did not feel that I had so much "gas" pain, I had just downright pain, in the middle of my stomach. I does get better, today was my best day so far. Hope you feel better soon and lots of happy weight lost to you.
