I got a call from the surgeon's office just now ... March 29th for ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was sleeeved Monday (3/21). It's been an okay expereience. No real pain, just very uncomfortable feeling, and the nausea is no fun. Would I do it again,,,,,,,oh yeah. Good luck and Godspeed everyone.

March 28th with Dr. Fourman in Midland MI......getting pretty excited! But only lost 9lbs so far on pre-surgery diet, but its 9lbs I don't have anymore :)

Hi Everyone - I wanted to give you an update. I was sleeved 3/16 and I was in the hospital until 3/22. It was rough but i am so happy to be home. I am struggling a little trying to get all the liquids in. But it is getting better every single day. Thanks to all of you who had me in your thoughts and prayers. -Cindy

I'm scheduled for march 28. I am so excited i can't stand it. I had to run out today to get Isopure and liquid vitamins! Where's my checklist?

hey got sleeved on march 24th was let out of the hospital on the 25th i been doing okay trying to get in my liquids sore and little uncomfortable but doing pretty good ready for the drain to come out on monday .

Just checking in and wanting to encourage March Sleevers! Surgery was 3/3/11. Mostly, I feel FANTASTIC! Healing, and finally feeling a TON of energy.

I have avoided the scale, because I gained 6 pounds in the hospital. UGH! I made a decision to only weigh at the doctors. Two weeks I lost the 6 I gained in the hospital, plus 10 more. I am measuring my success, however, on how I feel, not by a number. Clothes finally fit again, and even are a little loose. Blood pressure is manageable, and life goes on,

Unfortunately, we had a death in our family. FOOD WAS EVERYWHERE. One blessing of this surgery is I had no appetite so I didn't eat my way through this past week. I felt feelings and connected with people instead. My grief is unbelievealbe, but my road to healing is awesome because I'm not avoiding the pain with food.

Now, people, that's why we had this procedure right? So we could learn how to live.

Hugs to all, and blessings are there - look for them.

SinDLou....my heart goes out to you! I lost my mom a year ago and that was my excuse for eating and drinking my way through life....just another reason why I am on this board and why I ended up with the surgery. So I think you should be very proud of yourself for not avoiding the pain with food.

My surgery was March 14th... had hiatal hernia and scare tissue removed with 8 inches of my large intestine.... spent 2 days in hospital.. room of my own thank goodness.... been on liquid diet since.. post op appt tomorrow... some days i struggle to get all my water in but not doing to bad... i've lost 25lbs so far.. go me!!! not taking pain meds anymore... did wake up with a head cold this morning.. only thing that sucks is sneezing over and over... can't say i have any complains or problems so far... key is staying positive and not putting too much into things i know i can't have anymore (or atleast for a while).... i wanted this and i will do all that i have to get to my goal....

Just checking in....surgery was Monday and got home yesterday afternoon. So far, so good! Pain has been very manageable. Main issue has been getting all my fluids in. I feel like every drink I am full and bubbles come up as the liquids go down.

SinDLou- so very sad to hear about your loss. What we are going through is stressful enough...I cannot imagine adding a death in the family on top of that. Saying a special prayer for you today.

My surgery was March 14. I am doing pretty good physically in every way. It is the mental stuff that has been difficult for me. I am down 30 lbs. as of today. I was at a stall for awhile, so yesterday, I tried to up my eating. I had a cheese omelet in the morning, then a protein shake, then grits in the afternoon and another cheese omelet at night with tons of water. This morning when I woke up, I broke my stall and have lost 30 lbs. Pretty excited. I ate more than ever and that is what made the scale move. Weird! Monday I went to Disneyland for the entire day. That was okay, no problem really. They have toddler meals and I ordered that. It came with applesauce and milk and that was all I needed. I was exhausted all day yesterday. The drinking is so much easier. I can take pretty big double gulps. This morning I ate all but a couple of bites of my omelet. The first time I had one, I could only have a couple of bites before I was done. I am starting to do a bit better mentally. I never gave that part of it much thought. I just figured I knew and I could deal with it no problem. It is a different story when you are living it. I have gone through major feelings of buyer's remorse. I am kinda mourning some of my favorite meals and eating with my family like I used to. Now that I am able to eat and drink easier, I am starting to feel better. Monday I go back to work. I hope I am ready for my 25 kinders!! They are exhausting on my best day! :)

I am 9 lbs. away from Onederland!! That has me so excited I can't even believe it!! It was college since I have been there. I am 40 years old! I figure when I put away my winter clothes, I will pack them up for good. There is no going back and I know by next winter I will not be able to wear them! How EXCITING!!!

Good luck everyone. I would love to hear how all the other March Sleevers are doing!
