  1. Hi and welcome I am here at fort hood and was sleeved on March 24th i almost 2 1/2 months out. I am down 40 lbs so far. I had mine done at darnell and loved the care that i got at the hospital and with the drs. If you go on post i recommend the support groups i try to go to every one i can and they are so supportive .

  3. Ah congrats on the baby she beautiful We went thru fertility treatments for many years and now we are adopted parents of 2 wonderful kids they been home for 2 1/2 yrs and now 6 and 5 yrs old
  4. Hi I am not sure where you are about right now the wait list is very short i actually from start to surgery date was only 2 months and i loved the care i got and everyone was so great there. Wishing you all the best .

Nope i was scared so bad the last few days before surgery all the worries went thru my head I want you to know that i got great care at Darnel i was scared about that too having it at a army hospital. If you need anything or just want support my number is open. You are making a great choice and i love my sleeve now i am still learning to use it and i am now 4 weeks out.

Due to the fact that i was on vacation my half of my last week of regular foods i kinda went crazy thinking i am not going to be able to eat like this again lol but on the flip side i was also on the liquid diet half of vacation . If you need anything my inbox is always open and i will im you my phone number. Those days are so of the hardest but you will get thru it. Stock up on sugar free popsicles and sugar free jello those were my stables between the broths and the protein shakes. Drink lots of water. It may seem like liquids last forever but your date will be here before you know it

  8. Hey Glad to see you are doing good i am to went and got the drain tooken out today and i was so happy to have that out it was so hard sleeping with it in I feel great just a little sore and cann't bend over that great .

  10. Have you tried fort hood they are doing the sleeve here at fort hood it may be worth a shot for you to call them and ask.
  11. I have medicare and tricare for life cause i am disabled(legally blind) my husband active duty and i go on post and i was also told that is the only place they would cover the vsg. I am in the begining stages but all i need is a support group meeting, psych eval, and the seminar then i will get on the waiting list then it could take any where from a month to a year.

  13. Hi My name is Miranda I am at the begining stages of getting everything ready to get on the military wait list for the surgery so far i have did the support group meeting. I have the psych eval next week and have the seminar on feb 16th. Then i go on the waiting list for the surgery and then it could be a month to 1 yr before they call me with a spot to have the surgery. When i get the call for a surgery date then they will do the blood work and the preop nut.
