October Surgeries!!

OK, I couldn't wait any longer. I have to see who else is scheduled for October. The closer it gets the more I'm looking forward to the surgery. Well, not the actual surgery.......but you understand what I mean. Is anyone going to have surgery in Tijuana on the 11th? I'm looking forward to possibly meeting someone from the message board during my trip. I know that I will be at the same recovery house that is used by Dr. Almanza. I keep thinking about all of the NSV's I'm looking forward to happening. I swear everyday I think of a new one. Today's is .....looking forward to not being so sweaty all of the time. :001_tongue:

I'm getting mine done on 10/6/10. I'm pretty nervous, actually. I've never had surgery before and have never spent any time as a patient in a hospital. I'm also 53 years old and wonder if I'm just too old to really benefit from this. Everyone else sounds so excited and, right now, I'm anything but excited. Anyone else in the same boat?

hey everyone.... I'm 3 days out of surgery now!... Things are progressing which is great... No leaks.. But I'm not going to lie I screamed bloody murder when my drain was taken out!... That was by faf the worst!.. Other than that things are ok.. I am sipping walking and resting.. I had some diarehia from the contrast solution but its not that bad... Hope everyone is doing well!!

Great to hear from you!! Glad you are doing well!

Hi Everyone

I am due to be sleeved tomorrow but have started a cold. I hope I can still have surgery as I will be so gutted if I can't?? I know if they cancel it would be for safety reasons but I am trying every medication and Vitamin I can find today so that I can to feel a bit better tomorrow. Has anyone else had their surgery with a cold???

Feel quite upset right now ............

Wishing everyone the best for your operations.

take care

Sue

I know how you feel, I'm getting sick too and my husband is the one who gave it to me. Did you check with the office. Call the Dr's and tell them about it. I think if your lungs are clear you should be ok, I think that's the only thing they would be concerned about. I think I have an ear or sinus infection but I just called my primary for antibotics, my surgery is next Monday. Good luck!!!

I am so excited. I had my pre-op visit with the surgeon today. My surgery is all set to go for Thursday a.m. Cant believe its only 3 days away. Did not sleep a wink last night. Ive been looking at before and after pictures. Needless to say I am obsessed....

I'm gettin sleeved on Oct. 8th!! I'm nervous and excited. I have been doing really well on my pre-op diet. My doc asked me to loose 5-10 lbs and I managed to loose 7 lbs...it's been hard but worth it!

OMG I agree that drain removal was the worst thing of my whole post op! I had two removed from a tummy tuck 3 years ago that felt NOTHING like that one did all wound up in my abdomen. WTH! I am so glad you are out safely. WIshing you the best on your recovery![/size]

Hi LaughtillIcry

I'm gettting sleeved on MOnday at Stratford. Is Dr. Neff doing your surgery. I met with his office on 9-22-10 and they scheduled me for the 11th of this month, just heard from the office today that insurance approved it. You'll be fine...keep in touch.

Starting my 3 day pre-op liquid diet tomorrow, so worried about cheating  Hope to hear more from those October sleevers that have had there surgery and how your all doing.

I am getting sleeved October 18th. I am 57 years old and wondered if I was too old. I went to a couple of seminars and guess what? Almost everyone there was about our age. I want to get rid of some of my meds and that's probably what motivates the over 50's. Lipitor, Metformin, Lisinopril, Actos. Goodbye.

Is it ever too late to try to get healthy? I hope not.

Good luck, I hope everything went well.

Today is the 7th, were you able to go through with the surgery?
