Firefly!!

Hang in there I promise promise promise it gets better!!!

I felt like crap the first week too! I was sleeved on Thursday the 28th and was back at work on the following Tuesday 2-2. I was dragging all week long and I got so depressed. I kept thinking to myself what have I dont what have I done. This past weekend I just layed around all weekend watching movies and relaxing and WOW!!! DO I FEEL BETTER!!!

YAY YAY YAY!!

When you get your stitches out you will feel better and then little by little each day you will get stronger.

I will be praying for you!!

Lets keep in touch!!!

I just started my 3rd week. Honestly, once you hit the end of 2 weeks you will notice a definite change...You're soarness will be gone, your energy will be back, you will be on mushies, and just happier about everything.....hang in!

Hey there Ishary,

MJ here. Wow, so many responses already. Amazing the support, questions, and they all want to hear from you, (like we are experts now:001_cool:) Ishary and I were Sleeved at the same time by Dr. Almanza. Ishary is right. The first couple of weeks are not so good while your body is healing. It's probably best not to do a whole lot but it gets better and better day by day.

It's good to hear that you are doing well Ishary. Hey, did you already get your stitches out? I am going to my GP tomorrow to get them removed.

Hope you are all doing well. Talk to you soon.

I feel a little better today. I took 2 nice naps. Now I'm going out to walk around my circle driveway. The sun is out looks so appealing.

Can't wait for mushies!

I'm glad you're starting to feel better Firefly. Way to go taking naps and walking in the sunshine!

Hi MJ!!!!

Yep stitches are out.

Mom took them out for me last weekend and it seems like as soon as I got them out I started to feel better. More normal.

Course that whole weekend I just layed around and watched movies so I am sure that had a lot to do with it as well.

I started the mushies phase but so far all my tummy will tolerate is refriend Beans (YUM) and smooshed up carrotts oh and Cream of wheat.

I cant really tolerate the cold foods well except Yogurt that seems to go down ok. But Cottage cheese yep not so much.

This site is GREAT by the way MJ thanks so much for telling me about it!!

Big Hug to all!!

= - ):lol0:

Thank you so much for asking!

I was just not feeling well very blah and weak. So this morning I made a slight unauthorized change in my menu. I drank a soy based shake. It was like a miracle. I feel so much better. I think the whey was disagreeing with me.

That is wonderful!!

I dont think the "unauthorized" addition to your liquid diet is a big deal at all.

Glad that you are feeling better!!:lol0:

Its not clear but I am 7 days post op. I feel pretty good for the first time. I walked outside again. I even "supervised" my husband while he brought in some firewood.

You sure sound great!
