Lapband with Plication

My surgery date is Oct 21 Lapband with plication. Has anyone had the Lapband with plication procedure?

I have. Do you have any specific questions?

I have had the procedure as well. I don't feel much difference from the plication, but my husband who also had it done has noticed an increase in the speed of digestion.

That is what it is supposed to do, it mimics the sleeve operation without the removal of the stomach, rather the stomach is folded in on itself and then stitched into place to hold the fold.

Did you have any other questions about the procedure?

I had it done as well. VERY happy with the results. I can't comment on what the band would be like without the added plication. But I can say that the handful of times where I started to eat beyond the amount I should have, the plication was a secondary STOP signal. And that signal was loud and clear.

As with the posters above, I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you might have :)
