5 days post op.....still not feeling great

Today is day 5 and I'm still in some pain and have occasional nausea. The gas pain in my left shoulder is better, but my stomach is tight and my breathing is painful. How long before I will be pain free?

Hi Lash, I am pre-band but do know that healing from any surgery takes the time it takes -- our bodies are all different. You posted early this morning and I'm hoping that day five is your big turnaround day. Take good care of yourself and be sure to work on your breathing, the walks around and sips of water. That's the recipe I keep seeing here in posts from others. You are on your way! Thinking of you....

Hi there! I had surgery on 9/12. It took about 10 days for me to really feel normal. It is different for everyone and some go back to work a few days later but I had a lot of shoulder pain and thought I was going to pass out when I took a deep breath.

Today is day 15 after surgery and I feel FANTASTIC! Hang in there, it will get better!

Went back to work Tuesday and had a good day. Minor pain around port incision, but other than that I feel good. Thinking about doing some gardening today, if it doesn't hurt to bend. Trying to drink more water, feeling a little dehydrated. Hope you ladies are well and thanks again for the feedback.

Hi! Im so glad you are feeling good! Others have already said the things I would have said about not feeling well earlier, but I'd like to add that you might hold off on the gardening for a bit -- just to not push things too quickly. Im glad you feel so good that you want to garden, though!
