How much protein do you consume per day?

I've noticed when my Protein is higher I tend to lose a bit more on the week.

But I'm not sure exactly how much I should be aiming for for weight loss.

I'm 5'7 and 289 if that matters.

Anyone got a general rule of thumb?

Most say to multiple your weight times .3 to figure out how much Protein you need daily. So yours would be 289*.3= 86.7g (I'd round up to 87) Mine is 194*.3= 58.2 (I usually aim for 60g)

My nutritionist recommends 60-80 grams per day. I usually am between 60-70 most days.

My goal is no less than 60g.
