Holy sickness Batman!

So yesterday while at the hospice center when left tonsil started hurting. I left my friend and came home at 11 and woke up at 7 the next morning with the worst sore throat I've had in awhile. Drove myself to urgent care and voila! Strep positive. I immediately asked for a liquid script so it could go down easier and not bother my band.

Sadly, I am most upset that I am out of the hospice center for today and probably tomorrow. I had planned to spend this whole weekend with my bestie, but I guess life has other plans. My Motrin is not breaking my fever or making the pain in my throat any less. I'm running 103.5 and contemplating having to hit the ER for fluids as I'm know I'm getting dehydrated.

Sorry for my rambling, but I'm just so upset about my friend and needed a place to vent.

I am considering taking some of my pain meds from surgery to lessen my throat pain so I can get some Water down. Blah. Damn sickness. Strep always takes me down for a good 4 days. And thank goodness for liquid antibiotics!!

I am sorry to hear about your strep throat. It never fails that you get ill when you have something you are looking forward to doing. A body temp of that range is not good. You may want to visit the ER. Just think when you get well you can spend time with your friend. Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear about you and your friend. Hope you two feel better soon.
