August 27th!

I finally got approved for my band and that in itself has been a long journey. And though I'm excited and nervous I'm also kind of sad. I feel like I'm a little bit of a cheater since I couldn't lose the weight with just exercise and eating right. I really hope that's a normal feeling!

I totally understand how you feel like you failed because you couldn't do it yourself. I said that to the surgeon and was told I was not a failure because I was doing something about my weight by getting the band. I have no regrets and love having it to help me, be under control of my excess eating. I try to eat the right things but I am far from perfect.

Congratulations on starting this wonderful new journey.

My surgery date is Aug 27 too! Eeeeeep, coming up so quick.
