First fill - no change

So I had my first fill (1.4cc for a total of 2.4cc) last week and honestly I feel NO difference. I was expecting to feel more restriction and I'm disappointed. How am I supposed to go another month before my next fill?!?! Ugh, didn't think it would be this hard. If I had will power I wouldn't be in this situation!

Take it slow and be patient. I had 1cc put in today and I am sitting in the ER right now because I can't swallow. I was too impatient to only get a quarter cc put in, which I know is what I should have had done. You will get to your green zone soon enough. You can go next week and get another full if you don't fell any restriction. Just ask your doc.

You MUST have patience with the band. I didn't feel anything different until my 3rd fill (4 mths afterwards). Then the magic started.

They either didn't tell me this in the class or I refused to hear it cuz I thought I'd get surgery and BAM - I'd start losing. Nope. Not even close. I ate just the same as I had prior to the band and maybe lost 3 lbs (probly just from the 4 weeks liquid diet!) in the first 4 mths. Then I started losing 8-12 lbs a month.

Patience is a must with the band. They need to put this on the consent form - that you understand it before being cut open!

Good luck!

It's taken me 8 fills to get it right. Please be patient, track your calories and keep moving. You will get there. Best wishes.
