Today's the day

Well, it's the day of surgery and my nerves are definitely in full effect. My surgery is at 11:00 Am so if you happen to look at the clock at that time keep me in your thoughts. This will be the first surgery I have ever had in my life and I am kinda freaked out. I will try to post on here after my surgery and let everyone know how it went. Thanks for all the advice and well wishes. This has been the most helpful and informative website I have ever been on.

You will do fine! Best wishes for your surgery and recovery. Remember, after surgery, keep hydrated, with small sips, and walk as much as possible to relieve the gas pressure they will pump into you. Karen

Will definitely be sending positive thoughts your way at 11! I understand your fear. I have never had surgery either so I will feel exactly the same way next Thursday! Can't wait to hear from you after surgery.

Good luck! I am posting from the waiting room now!

Good luck my prayers are with you. I will be banded in two weeks

How exciting! This is the first day of the rest of your life :)

I'll send good energy at 11:00! Although, by the times listed on everyone's posts, I'm not quite sure what time zone you're in. Maybe three hours ahead of the west coast? No matter - positive thoughts coming your way! I look forward to hearing how you're doing. Good luck!!

Once you wake up in recovery, you will realize that the worst is behind you, and you can start making your life better... everyone has qualms about going into major surgery. You'll do fine!

Congratulations! Everything will go wonderfully!

Congratulations on making the decision to get banded. I'm at the beginning of the process, getting required appointments and such. It took me almost a year to make the decision to get the band. Looking forward to hearing how you are doing.
