Pre-op Diet Sucks

It's day 2 of this pre op diet and I'm ready to slit my wrist. I semi cheated yesterday just from the sheer pain of hunger. I'm allowed 3 oz of meat but as I was putting up the food I cooked I took a big bite of my baked chicken. I'm allowed a half cup of veggies....I ate a cup. I don't know if its just in my head or not but I'm feeling light headed. June 25th can't come soon enough.

The protein shakes help a lot. Once you get past day 3 it gets easier. It is also a mind thing. You have to have the right mind set. What helped me a lot was the sugar free jello, the low sodium c

My appointment today was very short. I got my papers for pre admission testing and doc went over the surgery. I work at the hospital that I'm having the surgery at so my doc cracks a lot of jokes. We have a lot of fun!

I'm on day 2 of my 10 day pre-op diet. I am on a high protein low carb. I'm scheduled for June 26th. I drink a protein shake for breakfast, a meal replacement for lunch and I have a lean mean with vegetables for dinner. I can only have 1 serving of fruit per day which is a snack. Good luck with your journey!

I'm on EAS drinks and I'm very tired of them too. I've been having ummmmm.... GI problems and had to take phenegran. I'm starting to feel better but I'm so ready for this to be over.

I am 3 days pre-op. I have tried many protein shakes trying to find something good. For me, I like the Nectar brand by Syntax. I found on their website where you can order a 12 sample pack for $13.99 shipped. Call 866-333-7403 extension 803. My local nutrition shop had samples too but they were $3 each, this is way cheaper.

been on the preop one week today ...only drinks no meals . not easy but will be worth it soon i hope...feel tired
