Getting Banded 7/2/13

Got my date. And I'm TERRIFIED of the 14 day diet. I was told by the nurse that you have to lose a certain amount are they will reschedule your surgery and you will have to do the PRE op diet all over again. How will I survive those 14 days of horror!!!!!

The truth is YES it sucks horribly and I was sure I wouldn't be able to do it but with what I can only assume was Devine intervention I was able to follow it. Two hints :

1- It does get easier after third day

2- I made it REALLY simple - I drank only shakes, only one flavor, set my clock on phone and took it like medicine every two hours

*** Bonus was around day 7 I had a real freeing feeling because I didn't have to think about food and choices or weigh or measure or plan - just down a shake every two hours ****

good luck on your journey. How long did you have to wait from the beginning before you could have the surgery? I hear some people say 3 and others say 6. Just curious

You can do it! Congrats on getting a date! Focus on a lifestyle change instead of that word “diet” and be on this site everyday for encouragement, you got this!
