Not losing much on preop. Discouraged.

I have been following the liquid diet to a T. High protein shakes 4x a day. Water check. Greens check. Day 12 only down 8.5. What am I doing wrong? Getting bended Tuesday and was hoping to drop 12 preposition.

I didn't lose anything during preop diet. Don't beat yourself up over it after Tuesday you will really begin to lose weight! Good luck on Tuesday!!!!

12 pounds in 9 days? Nothing to complain about! That is wonderful, chin up!

You have done great! The pre-op is so hard (I'm on it too), and you have almost made it!! Everyone loses differently and you never know you could easily lose those last couple pounds in the next few days. Good luck to you!!!

unless your dr said lose this much, i feel what you have done is great...

please understand the pre op is to shrink the liver in preparation for surgery...mostly Water weight but it counts and def a motivator..why discouraged? a loss is a loss...and i see no problem here except for you thinking you are doing something wrong....which you arent esp if you are following your dr's instructions..

I agree this time is for healing not for weight loss. Try staying away from the scale for a while.

you have done a great job I am not sure how much you thought you would loss. Weight loss at this point is to shrink you liver for the doctor ti have more room your real weight loss will start after you heal in 6 wks and you start to get the fills.
