I had surgery around 1 pm today. I actually wasn't nervous about the surgery. When I woke up, I was in a lot of pain in my chest and shoulder. They gave me some morphine then later some liquid hydrocodone which helped. I got home a couple hours ago and went to sleep. My dog woke me up to take her out. Now if we could just time warp and have the weight already off, but I'm actually looking forward to the journey.

Hope the pain doesn't last too long- I have heard Gas-X disolvable strips really help.

Move around as much as possible, stretch your arms, etc. It helped the gas ddisperse and not hurt for me.

Good luck and welcome to the club!

SIP the Water, use heating pad and walk as much as you can tolerate. Helps with the gas.

Feeling lots better this morning. No pain just a little discomfort. I didn't sleep well last night though. I kept waking up to go to the bathroom. Probably because of the iv and drinking a lot of Water. I'm taking it rather easy today, but I'll make sure I walk around as much as possible.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
