PBing at costco

Hi all, I'm about 7 months post op. I had my first PB today. So not fun. Especially since I was at costco. I recklessly tried a oodon (not sure of spelling) noodle sample and my band rebelled. After 20 min of walking around trying to let it pass, I decided to go into the bathroom and try to get it up. I spent 15 min bent over the toilet trying to get it to come up when I finally just put my finger down my throat and made it happen. I felt SO SO much better. But it was so gross!!

Anyway...should I stick to liquids for dinner? I think I remember reading I need to give my esophagus a rest.

As in productive burp...it was less violent than puking and it gets the stuck food back up

that is hard on your band be careful. I got the flu and puck and had to an unfill for 2 wks I now need to let it pass, watch what I eat and call dr if I get sick.

You should go back to liquids for the next 24 hours. Lets any swelling that was caused by being stuck go down.

Thanks! That's what I thought I should do but just wanted to check.

Definitely fluids and those udon noodles are thick and good, but tough to tackle (used to work in a Jap restaurant and would eat the udon bowl all of the time, but probably won't try it now :)). Feel better soon! We live and learn as we go.

I had to PB one time in Wal Mart. Lets just say I didn't make it to the bathroom....

Just be careful when you pick up a bag of dog food at Wal Mart.

Lmao!!!

I pb'ed at work yesterday; it was awful! There was an awkward moment with a coworker who wandered in while I was doing my thing. She never did go to the bathroom and I got a weird vibe from her. I think she must think I have 'tossed up' all this weight. Uhg... (No one knows about my wls.)
