Anyone in these areas? Who was/is your surgeon? Which hospital? Are you following any local support groups?

I'm in Ellenton (very near the outlet mall that will become my best friend in about 6 months!!!). My surgeon is Dr. Rehnke and I'll be at Palms of Pasadena on the 19th - one week from today. Yay!!

Looking forward to meeting more from this area.

6 days to bandyland and I'm more anxious than ever!!!

Feeling anxious is all normal. The minute I walked into the surgery center I am pretty sure I hyperventilated....lol. Some quick meds in my IV and I was completely fine. You will do great. Does your surgeon require a pre-op diet?

I used the wrong word. Anxious, I am not. Excited as hell, would be a more apt description. I'm five days from bandyland, on the 9th day of pre-op Optifast. When I see the success of so many people here, it gives me such encouragement. I know this is the tool I need to help me maintain weight loss. I applaud you all and can't wait to join the ranks of the banded.

Rosie! I am so excited for you. Your attitude is awesome (especially being on Opti-Fast for 9 days...lol). I think by my 9th day of Optifast...I wasn't so excited anymore. I love your attitude....your gonna do great!
