Still hungry!

I haven't had my first fill yet. I can't eat regular food (boy, I'd I try) so I'm wondering if the fill will help with this relentless need to eat and never feeling full. Is this normal to feel so hungry after being banded!?

Yes, it's normal, and it takes most people multiple fills before their hunger is under control. Just remember with the band you aren't striving for the same full feeling you knew before the band.

Just remember with the band you aren't striving for the same full feeling you knew before the band. In fact if you're eating until you're full you're likely eating too much. With the band it's about being satisfied, or no longer physically hungry.

It takes some time and it's a big learning experience, but hang in there, it gets a lot easier.

yes I had my first fill on Monday. it is quite different than not having any fill... I can eat my required amount (actually less than 1 cup) and feel satisfied.. not really what I knew as full before the band.. but feel good.. I am still working on getting my head in the game.. my head says aren't you hungry? but my body says nope you are fine... right before I had my fill I was quite hungry,, so it can make a difference...listen to your body not your brain....

I first thought... well I can cope with eating this small serving but to tell the truth... I think this band is just "another way I have failed at dieting." I was just ready to cross it off until I had a fill. That has been 4 years the end of next month. I am full now and have only needed 3 more fills over that course of time. The fill is the tool I needed to get the wt. off and keep it off. Hope this helps. The number of fills it takes varies with the individual and you hopefully will be pleased and satisfied soon.

I had mine on Jan 29. I have had 1 fill and going for my second fill on thurs. I haven't dropped weight. I lost a ton on my horrible liquid preop from hell diet but now I am staying the same.... Is that normal ? Maybe after my second fill. I have a 14 cc band.

I just have not known what to think I am 5 days post op and feel full but still have really bad hunger pangs is that normal?
