Had surgery 2/8/13

I had the gastric plication 2-8-13 i am having gas pain so bad, i just cant take it ...does any body know what can help me..

Congratulations on your surgery. To help with pain use a heating pad. The heat helps. The nurse had told me the gas wants to leave the body and has no place to go.

For a little relief, lay in a recliner with your hips and legs a little higher than your body. The gas will move to your hip area where there is more room and then when you turn upright again your body will absorb some of it.

Then walk, walk, walk...

I was getting severe gas pains Nothing worked for me not walking, not a heating pad, not gasx, not tums... I ended up calling my surgeon they gave me a pill that dissolves under my tongue also that same day i started taking 1 fiber gummy. It helped me tremendously i am 1 week post op still have slight gas but nothing like before

Thanks every one i will try everything that has been sugested here, i am so glad to have found this web site, getting support from people that are walking in my shoes, really help, i called my doctor he gave me some pills to disolve under my tounge i take 2 three times a day, andt has helped some, again thanks
