Acid reflux again

I had acid reflux about 6 months ago and had most of the fluid taken out of my band. Gained about 10 lbs. I have slowly had fluid add back in . I had .2 put in on Monday. For the last 3 nights acid reflux has started again. It usually happens about between 2-3 in the morning. I am very good about not eating 3 hours before bed. I drink plenty of water to make sure pouch is washed out. All things I have been told to do. My band is no where near as full as where it was when I had fluid removed last time. I wonder if the acid is coming from my belly being empty?

I did have a very slight slippage last time (it took two doctors to figure it out). I take prilosec every morning. Any advice would be great!!!!

  • IMHO, call your Dr. Heartburn is a serious problem and if you are already taking Prilosec, there is something wrong. Heartburn can lead to esophageal erosion and left untreated cancer. Before banding

Heartburn can lead to esophageal erosion and left untreated cancer. Before banding I had silent reflux, no heartburn, but erosion. Nothing to mess around with.

Good Luck!
