Taste buds

What has happened to my taste buds? I'm 6 days post-op and nothing tastes the same to me, even water! When will my sense of taste return to normal?

    Very common, happened to me as well. I freaked out the most when Water was even disgusting to drink (and I am a huge water fan). Your buds will go back to normal as the days go by...

    My taste buds have also gone mutant. I even tried to eat a grape earlier and it tasted horribly sweet to me. I'm all about the salt now and find myself liking foods I didn't care for so much before.
