I have lost 14 pounds in 3 days and I still have 4 days to go! All I know is Friday is coming quickly and I am getting more and more excited!

  • The first 3 days were the hardest for me too, I was quitting caffeine and sugar all at the same time and it was not fun and I tried to avoid people because I wasn't the nicest either . But you can do

I agree it's very hard, much harder than I expected especially as the days went on, but towards the end when I was only 2 days before surgery I feel like I blocked out the other 7 days!!!!

I agree! It is very hard. I'm told it gets easier though. How many days do you have to do?

Yikes! I have always thought that the pre-op diet would be the hardest part of the whole thing. I have to start liquid diet on 2/23 for my 3/5 surgery! You can do this though! Good luck and keep your eye on the prize!

I don't get hungrey until about 5 and I am still cooking for my family so that makes it even harder! But jello is my friend and so are popsicles! But I only have a week to this so I can do it! I weighed myself the day before I started my preop diet and I lose 5 pounds in one day!

I'm on day 8 of my 14 day pre-op diet and to be honest.. It isn't that bad now. My first 3 days all I wanted was sugar, after passing that hurdle it was fine. Good luck!

Yeah I have noticed I have been craving cookies! I have also found that gum is a great friend in this game (sf of course)

Today was my1st day of 14 days pre op diet, no carbs! Gosh this is hard. I'm Hispanic all I eat is carbs.... Hope I can d this.

My pre op diet starts on 2/19 for my 2/22 surgery. I only have to lose like 7 lbs prior to surgery but I'm nervous I won't have enough time so I'm starting now but does anyone have any suggestions as to what diet worked best for you?

Today is day 3 for me of the 14 day pre-op diet. Mine seems to be stricter than some people, but it is rough. To make it worse I am stuck here in a house full of men eating junk, grilling out and waiting for the game to start. There are many people that have done this before us, so I know that we can accomplish this challenge, no matter how difficult it is. Eye on the prize people.

We can do this, we will get our lap band inserted, recover and learn how to eat all over again. We will get healthy and lose those pounds that are making us unhealthy.

It's hard! Today. I ate carbs... This is killing me, but I don't worry much. Don't think I will have surgery since my family

Refuses to go w me to surgery day. I live in NYC and surgery is in colorado.

Changed, how can u lose 7 lbs in 3 days? The only way is liquids and to clean your stomach every single night...

Leslie that's bull my family is not 100 percent behind me on this but just like my husband says I was there for him in his hour of need he is going to be there for me!

Leslie, how come you did not look to have your surgery here in NYC? There are so many weightloss centers that have amazing doctors.
