I just wanted to tell yall that I am on my 4th day of pre op diet & I get to have a SALAD tonight! wooohoooo! never thought i'd be so freakin excited to eat a salad! lol Did great the first 3 days, felt great, had plenty of energy. First night was the hardest. Stay strong peeps we got this! :)

Enjoy that salad! I am allowed 1 cup of salad a day on my liquid as well as a few veggies.

ok so I just sampled my powdered protein from GNC, pretty good. I used the chocolate & added in some powdered peanut butter & yum.....for now anyway, lol.

Hi everyone. mine is for 3/11. waiting for last couple app. Not all need a pre-op diet do they? thanks

Finally got my date yesterday, March 25th!!! Finally!!! i've been on this journey for 3 years now. Pre-op diet (super low fat) starts march 11th.

I wish the month would fly by, I have a month and a week to go. Unfortunately, I had to schedule it that far away because of the upper gi endoscopy the first date they could take me for that was March and the next available date for surgery after that was March 28...I am on pins & needles anxiously awaiting, and I am second guessing myself wondering if I am doing the right thing, should I tell this person or that person...ugh! I know I dont want to tell alot of people because I do not want to hear negativity so I have only told some very close friends who I know will be supportative, but the work thing is what is stressing me out. How do I ask for time off? UGH! March 28th please get here fast!!

I had my appointment with my surgeon today and great news! I will also be having surgery In march! Not sure the definite date yet because he has to schedule a couple more, but will know next week! So very excited!!!

Starting my shakes tonight for March 1 surgery...wish me luck :-)

We are both having surgery March 1 yay!! So glad I have a surgery buddy. You should do good on the shakes it's really not as bad as you probably think. Good luck. Just 10 days till our big day!!! :)

i feel pretty fortunate in my case compared to some of you....i started my apps. an paperwork in early jan. an was approved by ins. less than 8 days. going in on 3/11 for LB. My goal is to lose 60 lbs...just enough too quit insulin an long term health. Right now im 6'4 285 lbs.

Hi everyone. I'm Ginger, I'm new here and seen this post. My surgery date is March 15. I'm so ready for this. :)

stephanieg89, I told work that I was having surgery, but did not specify what kind. I don't think they can legally ask what surgery you are having, it would violate your right to privacy.

To everyone being banded in March, please know that you are in my prayers! I start my pre-op diet tomorrow. Not being required to do liquid, but think I will anyway, just due to ease. It will be difficult, as I still have a husband and five kids to cook for. I am thinking that I may be doing a lot of freezer cooking in the next two weeks!

Someone mentioned Peanut Butter powder...I would sure love to know where to get it!

Hang in there, everyone, our time is coming!
