Hi there I'm 5 days post op all is going well down 10lbs so far. Still have gas pains but they seem to be getting better. I drink warm mint Decaf tea before I go to sleep seems to help. Yesterday I started having diarrhea like bowl movements they haven't stopped. I'm going to call my dr. Tomorrow just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I do think that is pretty common. Its just your body healing itself. Congrats on your weight loss and recovery! I am 9 days post op. Welcome to the bandsters =).

Definitely call your doctor with any questions.

My dr put me on Benefiber for the time I was on liquids which took care of the diarrhea...might be worth asking the dr about

More Fiber should help. Ask the doctor if this continues.

I was banded 1-16-13..I've lost 10 lbs since the start of the diet. I've tried so many different things through the years, I have fears this won't work either.

Hopefulnurse, stay positive and just listen to the band. I am 6 months post op and still have the fear of failure but as long as I try my best I'm okay. Road bumps are expected so don't get down from a bad week. Plus you just had the surgery!

Best wishes!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
