I have Aetna. They didnt cover my band and they arent covering my tummy tuck or boob lift which I am having to get rid of the excess skin. I have lost 216 lbs. I suppose its up to each insurance company.

If you can prove its affecting your life medically, physically or psychologically, they may cover it. Just telling them won't do it, you'll have to go to a doctor and prove it.

I am having a tt and boob lift... its about 12k but they will be done together. My Dr wont do my thighs... he said its medically too risky so I am walking alot. LOL And my arms... I think I can live with them too. They say thats a long recovery time.

However, there is an awesome hospital in Mexico that comes highly recommended, I know 4 people recently and a fifth getting done in June. about 25% of what it costs here, beautiful resort, husband can go and enjoy. It all depends on your insurance. Your best chance of getting approved is having at least 100 pound weight loss and 6 months of doctor documented rashes due to the excess skin.

Thigh lift incisions can open up and leave bad scars.
