5 Days Post Op With High Restriction

Hiya everyone,

I was banded on Tues 20th Nov 2012, with a 10ml band with 4ml saline put in at time of op.

I am currently struggling with my intake of fluids as I have a high restriction. I can only tolerate about 8 tablespoons of soup & then I am full to the point where I am in pain for around 4 hours later.

Does anybody know whether this is normal??

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanx

S xx

Hi. I am 4 days post op. I am having trouble with liquids too. Popsicles have helped me a lot. I haven't been able to do the protein drinks.

I am sure you are still very swollen and with added fluid that doesnt help. Call your doctor and tell them you are having trouble getting in fluids. If your getting that full then cut the amount in half that you are eating. It will get better but check with the doctor anyway.
