  2. Very normal. It comes and goes. I love food and I mourn it often. Sad but true.
  3. Freaking out!!! My hair is falling out in huge clumps when I wash it. My dr said he doesn't think it is from my WLS. But I'm not so sure. I want to know if anyone else has experienced this problem. If yes what are your suggestions for stoping and/or slowing the loss down?
  4. I think you may be right. I am a little tight. It's not a good feeling at all. I could only eat 3 1/2 grilled shrimp for supper and nothing else.
  5. I am 5 months post op an d have just gotten my third fill. The restriction is crazy! I can't eat but a few bites of anything. Not even an entire banana. My question is: is this a normal fill or am I too tight? I have lost 4 pounds in a week since the fill.

  8. I am 5 weeks out and after my 1st fill I had these regret decisions again. Just calm down it will pass. Everything will be okay. Give yourself some time and realize you have just made a life changing decision. It takes time to get used to it. But you will and you will be glad you did it.
  9. I have no restriction. 5 weeks post op. lost 18 pounds and 9 inches so far. The scale hasn't moved in the past 2 weeks. Very frustrated. Had no fills yet. Ate like a pig today but have been following the diet for the most part.
  10. Hello all. I am 5 days post op. trying to get in my protein. The shakes are just not cutting it. They make me puke. Can I do milk instead? I do not want to puke as I have 2x already and it really hurts.
  11. 5 days post op--have such a disgusting taste in my mouth. Will this go away? Can I chew gum? Also--what about bowel movements? I've only had a very watery one (sorry for TMI) is that normal? I am scared of being constipated. Thanks in advance!
  12. Hi. I am 4 days post op. I am having trouble with liquids too. Popsicles have helped me a lot. I haven't been able to do the protein drinks.
  13. I need a buddy/mentor; someone who can keep me sane...:-) my surgery was nov 21,2012. I live in north Alabama. Are there any support groups in north Alabama near Jasper?
  14. My surgery was wed 4 days ago. I regret it very very much.

  16. Okay. I am 4 days post op and having trouble with my liquid and protein. I know I'm not drinking enough. It feels so strange, like its stuck in there and won't move. I'm scared of getting sick and dying from no nutrients. Please help!
  17. My question is for all of you "veteran" lap banders--would you band again given the option? If not, why??
  18. Good Question. I can only take one week off work so I was wondering about that too.
  19. I went to the seminar and after that I went to my general practioner and asked her to start me on my 6 month diet. I havent been back to the surgeon since the seminar because I was not sure I wanted to do the surgery. in the meantime I have been fulifilling the requirement of the 6 mth diet and have just recently decided to go ahead w/it. Today is my last app w/my regular dr and I also have an app w/the surgeon. My regular dr has had me on a diabetic diet 1600-1800 calories to meet the requiremnet of the 6 mth diet period. I have lost 10 pounds during that time.
  20. Ewww..this scares me. I have failed so much my only fear is that I won't even be able to lose weight w/the lap band and it would be another failed attempt at weight loss.
  21. I am meeting w/my surgeon tomorrow to get the ball rolling on getting banded. My question is: I have heard of several people having marriage trouble after being banded and losing the weight. Has anyone experienced this?
  22. Hi, I am new to the lap band community. I am going to my first appointment with my surgeon tomorrow. I am very excited. I have completed 5 months of my 6 month pre-op diet. I have all my paperwork in order. My question is...what's next? Do the doctors go ahead and get the insurance to pre-approve the surgery or does all of the 6 month diet info have to be on file? I want to be banded in November over Thanksgiving Holidays, do you think this is possible? (I am a teacher) Will I beable to go back to work after one week? Thanks for answering my questions!
