My dr suggest my portions for every meal be as follows...

3 oz Protein

1/2 c veggies

1/4 c startch

That is a little over a cup but most of the time I cannot eat it all... I also limited myself to 1000 calories per day for maximum results but check with your dr on what is right for you.

This is along the lines of what doctor says as well.

I eat half a cup three times a day. If you dont know what your doctor recomends you need to contact them before you start eating. Every doctor is different!

Congrats on your band please make sure to follow your doctors rules.

Every doctor has their own ideas, but typically no more than 1 cup of food per meal for a very general guideline.

Call you doctor or nutritionist and get some guidelines from them.
