Your Last Supper......

Ok.. I know its a dramatic title....but I thought it would be fun to hear what every one's last meal was or will be before starting your pre op diet... I have to think back 2 years but I will always remember it fondly. I had 10 chicken wings w bleu cheese of course, loaded fries and 3 margaritas. About 1500 to 1800 calories... Funny how that really disgusts me now...

What was your meal of choice?

The day before I started my pre-op diet, my husband and I ordered dinner. I had Penne Vodka and a bottle of wine!!

Before my pre-op, a medium pepperoni pizza.

I had a huge Reuben sandwich, fries, and a huge Coke. I also had probably half a chocolate mousse pie and a ton of Reese Peanut Butter cups.

Hell I spent the entire week before just grazing and eating pure crap lol.

I honestly wish I knew then what I know now. I saw it as my "last meal", my last chance. Aside from the Coke (which I don't even miss) I didn't realize I could still have it all in moderation.

When I think of eating all that now it makes me nauseous.

I went to kona grill (sushi) and had part of a sunshine roll and half of a steak flatbread. I'm sure there were drinks and dessert too, but I don't remember. I still eat there often, and have eaten both of those things---but a lot less of them, and not simultaneously!

Sushi, egg rolls, tons of candy, and pizza!! I had to go to three different places to get my last meal!!! Then I went home and pigged out, loved every second

I have my surgery tomorrow! My last meal was 10 days ago and I chose Cajun Chicken Pasta, loadedashwd potatoes and a king size Caramello candy bar! Lol

That would be loaded mashed potatoes :)

Sushi and asparagus! I absolutely LOVE grilled asparagus! I read a lot of posts of not being able to eat it after surgery, my nutritionist said I probably wouldn't be able to tolerate it after surgery as well. Happy to say I can tolerate it well chewed! But everything is well chewed now!

Change of plans. I've decided not to do a crazy last supper. I'm going to a concert tomorrow instead. I have to start having more experiences that don't revolve around food. But I'm sure I'll have a last drink! ;-)

I love bread and pasta so I will probably have something along those lines. Or maybe steak and pasta. OR Sushi! I'm not sure, but then again, I still have 5 more months to figure this out :P

I made a whole day out of it. My mom and I went to lunch then I got cup cakes from this bakery. That night my friends and family went to Outback for a "last supper". My favorite is the Tawamba pasta. Then we got krispy kreme doughnuts. I was stuffed.

Thanks for the yummy ideas.

Great thread idea Flo Days.

We'll have to do trivia again!!!
