Hey I was banded on 11-6 I'm having heartburn which I never had before. Normal? I'm trying to deal but its kinda painful given I'm still healing.

I don't remember what the doctor said about hearthburn in the first month, but every monthly checkup I have, he asks if I'm having heartburn. He says it's a sign the band is too tight and could be causing other problems. If I were you I would call your doctor's office and just ask them about it. Better to be safe and have some peace of mind than continue to worry and be in pain.

You are healing. Could be gas. As for heart burn, don't lay down right after eating or drinking

I just had my surgery on November 6th and one of the prescriptions my doctor gave me was liquid Zantac. Maybe call your doctor and ask for a prescription? My doctor explained that this doesn't necessarily mean I will have heartburn but he gives it to his patients right after surgery just to be safe.
