Mashed Potatoes

Is it wrong to want mashed potatoes at 1 week post op? Im bored with broth jello pudding and popcicles. I am eating 4 oz - 8 oz a day plus liquids. Is this wrong? Help me with ideas of what to eat clear / full liquids?

  • Potatoes have NO protein, of course you know that. Do you have protein shakes? The post-op period is very important for your success. Try to stick with the rules. If you can't now, just know that

  • It won't be long, hang in there. I have until Nov 16th. The time seems to be going by quick. I've made some really good homemade Soups and they keep me happy.

Add blenderized cottage cheese to your soups for added protein. 2 weeks liquid were hard for me, variety sucked. I told my clinic that it would have been easier to keep me on the liquid diet for an additional 2 weeks.
