I was just banded on 29th as well. Happy birthday to a new life. I haven't taken any medicine larger than an m&m. That was recommended. Anything larger i have broken in two. I am calling my nurse tomorrow regarding all the gas discumfort. Ill ask her about this too. My Calcium is huge. No way i can start taking it.

Prescription meds??? I would try to split them if they are too big OR talk to your primary care doc to see if there is a liquid form or maybe another that may come smaller. Your daily multi Vitamins and calcium should be chewables (or liquid)

Where have u found chewable calcium citrate? My doctor doesn't want us to take just calcium. Must be citrate

I take chewables Caltrate 600+D plus minerals. it was on the list I got from my doc. I can pretty much find it anywhere....kroger, walmart, gnc, walgreens

I take viactiv as long as it has d with it then it is fine. If not vitamin d is very small.

I've been able to find every vitamin/mineral and prescription meds in either chewable or liquid form. I'm surprised the doc's office didn't educate you on this. Did you meet with a nutritionist? They usually have samples of the vitamins/minerals banders need to take.

Thanks everyone, I am talking my prescription med. I have liquid for my evening med but my day ones a capsules... Can I cut the capsule ?? Does anyone know ??

I use a pill crusher and mix with a little water and it goes right down

Just check with your Dr to make sure they are not time release

Type chewable calcium citrate in the Google search. Many site sell chewable calcium. Or, try Citrical Minis, they are much smaller.
