Hello Everyone...

Hi guys I'm Kat, and I was banded on 10/17 in Houston. I've been a member of this forum for about 6months, but only started posting recently. I love all the inspiration and help I get here! These are my stats so far: I'm 27yrs old, 5ft 6 with a pre surgery weight of 229. I lost 11lbs during my pre-op diet, and as of today am at 201.4! So excited to share my journey with everyone

Awesome progress! I was banded on 10/19 and have lost 9 lbs on pre op diet and so far 2 lbs post op.

I am not worried too much about how much I lose during my liquid and pureed food stages. I just want to get out and start exercising again. I cant wait for the dr.s ok.

Welcome to "Bandland".

This is a great place for information... take it one day at a time and ask lots of questions.

The preop diet isn't any fun, but not hard. It's truly what you make of it. I think the preop diet does a great job setting you up for what life with the band will be like in the beginning. By the time it's all over I will have been on a liquid diet for 5 weeks.

After being approved for the band, how long do you have to Waite for the surgery?
