9 Months And 152 Pounds

  • Popular Post

Today is the 9 month anniversary of my Lap Band surgery.

Since then I have lost 152 pounds.

I still have considerable weight to lose but I am SO happy with my results so far. It's definitely work and I've had to change my entire lifestyle but I am happier and healthier than I have ever been in my adult life.

I absolutely love my band! It's the best decision I've ever made for myself!

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement everyone. I honestly couldn't have gotten this far without all of your support

What tips can you give some of the newly bandsters? What do you eat? Do you workout/how often/what do you do?

The best advice I can give is to see a nutritionist and set up food guidelines specific to your needs and lifestyle. I don't eat anything special, in fact I don't even do low carb like most here do, but I do follow the directions my nutritionist gave me.

As for exercise, I walk 2 miles about 5 days a week. Every day if I can.

You are amazing.

can you share a sample menu that you have in a day? i am struggling with my eating lately and need some new ideas

I know this isn't going to help, but I don't eat anything special or different. I have a Protein shake for Breakfast every morning, a Lean Cuisine or maybe leftovers from dinner before for lunch, and whatever I am making for the kids for dinner.

I do stick to a cup or less of food at every meal, count calories, make sure to get all my protein in, and limit my fat intake.

Best wishes

Missy, Are you on MyFitnessPal. It would be nice for those of us that want to read your food diary as you go along. Or went along congratulations

No sorry, I'm not. I use the Lose It app.

Hahaha my diet is boring, trust me. I honestly don't eat anything special. Heck, I don't even do low carb, I eat lots of carbs. I just eat less food and try to make healthy choices.
