They told me not to chew gum b/c it would fill your pouch with air.

Thanks guys! If I have pain, I'll call my doctor. I don't think I'm supposed to chew it either. I didn't know it puts air in the pouch. Lesson learned☺

As long as your next meal goes down you should be ok! =) I have braces and can't chew gum anyway, so I never thought about what it would do if you swallowed it! Interesting... Haha.

As mentioned if you can eat you are fine. If you have chewable papaya pills take a couple to help "digest" the gum. I chew gum just be careful.!

That is soooo weird! I swallowed my gum today as well. I am having a little discomfort mid back, but my liquids are passing through without a problem. What a coincidence!
