Hi!

I'm in San Antonio!! My surgery is this coming Thursday with Dr Wright at the Nix, going through the process with True Results. Who are you with?

This is a good forum, lots of good advice and support!

Miriam

My doc is Dr. Wright also :) I have my last appt on sept 10th. I'm with true results as well. I would love for you gals to keep me updated with your progress.

Heyy ladies. Thanks for replying. Andd id love to stay in touch :) Im so nervous. I have an app with carcamo at nix but am thinking of seeing if i can switch to wright. My onlyy insurance is medicaid. Which makes me even more nervous. Is there any certain reason u guys chose wright over carcamo?

Yay, I've been looking for a buddy to talk to cuz I'm super nervous as well. I got denied the first time by my insurance so I started the 4 month process all over again. Sept 10 will hopefully be my last appt before re-submitting to my insurance. As far as the Doctor goes, they assigned Dr. Wright to me, I didn't specifically ask for him. They should be able to switch docs if you really want to. Did they tell you that they accept Medicaid? If they did then it should just be a matter of meeting all the requirements that medicaid wants. If they told you they accept it then you shouldn't worry, they do all the insurance paperwork for you. They are great and they know what they're doing. :)

Yea. They know I have medicaid. They said the consul and the surgery are covered. I think 50 dollar fills. They said it takes about 6 mths for some reason. Im just hoping im not on the pre op diet for the whole 6 mths. V- how do u like carcamo? How many times hve u seen him? Are you on the pre op diet yet?

Hes a good dr i see him tomorrow i had gallbladder surgery last friday so its a check up and I need two more months to be done with my 6months and how about u where are u with ur visits

No pre op diet yet

And u only do 2 weeks of pre op diet before surgery not the whole 6months but u learn how to eat with in the 6months to shrink ur liver if u had ur gallbladder remove the lapband surgery is kinda the same so i readed i use to be scared but im not anymore

Tomorrow I have my last appt. before my surgery on Thursday. I think the nervousness has subsided, now I just want to get it over and done, so I can start my new life! It will be great to keep in touch with y'all. :-)

Andd this is the probably the 4th time ive heard about gawbladder removal. What gives? Surely its not a requirement is it?

Hi Ladies, I'm also in San Antonio. I am scheduled to have my surgery in October @TrueResults. I am going to have my psych evaluation on Thursday. Dr. Carcamo will be performing my surgery & I've heard he can be a little blunt. This doesn't bother me because the main thing is that he performs the surgery well. Surprisingly, I'm not nervous(yet) about this procedure. I'm more excited than anything. I have been struggling for 30yrs with this weight; so now its beyond time to get serious about it. I hope everyone has a lot if success with the Lapband. Keep in Touch!

Harrier, I'm happy for you. I know the feeling. I always tell my hubby " I'm tired of being tired" it's our time to take care of ourselves and start enjoying life. We deserve it. I have my last appt on sept. 10th so I'm prob looking at surgery in October also. I was having doubts and nervous but I'm just ready to be rid of this weight. Take care and keep us posted. :)

I to going to have surgery october im done with my tests and i use to be scared but not anymore it just seem to take forever
