Can you please try that again? Your post didn't make sense.

Are you saying your sleep study was canceled or your lap band appointment was canceled?

Sorry! Sleep study was canceled my Inc.did not require this test my surgeon did. This was my last apt. Now what's next

A lot of surgeons require it because you'll be put to sleep during the surgery. They need to know if you have a sleep apena or anything else that could cause potential problems with the anesthesia.

Unless your surgeon waves the requirement, or your insurance agrees to cover the cost, you'll have to reschedule and pay for the sleep study yourself.

i got my surgeon to waive it - i knew i didn't have it and the insurance would not cover it unless i had it and it would have cost like $1500 or something crazy. Try to talk the surgeon's office out of requiring if you know you do not have it. I did go to the consult with the sleep study doc and he agreed it did not sound like i had it - that helped.

@Allison, wow you have done really well with your band!! I started at almost the same weight and would LOVE to be at your current weight this time next year!! Congrats.
