My Surgery Date Is Aug 16Th!

I'm really excited! I can't stop thinking about it, I'm very very impatient when it comes to things like this. Any advice to what I can start working on. My pre op diet is on the 2nd. I'm nervous about not getting the right things to eat. Plus I want a buddy!

I haven't been banded yet but my sister has and she's given me a few pointers. For instance, stock up on protein shakes, gas x, broths, start taking multivitamins, calcuim and biotin (if you fear hair loss after surgery) start watching your calorie and sugar intake. MyFitnessPal is a wonderful tool for this. My dietician also recommended watching how quickly i eat. I think she said ever meal should take 15 minutes to complete. Not sure if that was solids or every stage. Last but not least CHEW CHEW CHEW! Hope this helps.

Congrats on your date. We have pretty much the same dates. My pre-op appt is scheduled for Aug 2nd and my surgery is scheduled for Aug 15. I start my pre op diet on the 2nd. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I would love to be your buddy throught this process. My birthday is Aug 3rd, this is the best gift I could have received.

Congratulations! Mine is Aug 6. Best wishes to you.

Congrats!! My biggest advice - stick to your pre and post-op diets. They are sooo important.

Once I got past atkins, liquids, and mushies - finding the right portion size and choosing healthier food is somewhat difficult b/c I just wanted to eat something, anything!! Until you reach the green zone, it is mind over matter. You will feel full faster, but still be hungry more often than 3meals-a-day.

I'm booked in for Aug 11. Currently 135kg (around 300 pound) can't wait!! Really greatful for this app!! I'm sure it will help me a lot!!
