Port Location- Left Or Right Side?

Do surgeons favor the right side for installing port. Does it matter?

    Mine is lower left my dad and step moms are in the middle between the sternum and belly button

    About 4 inches to the left of the sternum and about 2 inches betlow the rib cage when sitting down.
