Hey everyone, I was just wondering what creams/gels everyone is using for the scars, and which we're most effective

Thanx :)

I used aquafer. I had moments during healing the the itching was driving me crazy. Then I just used coco butter. I have a bit darker skin so scaring on me stays a long time if it ever will disappear. Im 21 months post op and my scars are soft and smooth but brown. They are still fading but they dont bother me.

I will be using vitamin e oil.

Yes Vitamin E oil is the best!

I have used Mederma, an over the counter gel for healing scars. I believe it has helped...not just for this surgery but my previous one also.

Whatever you choose to use, I was told by my surgeon that gently massaging closed and healing scars will help to break up the scar tissues which often develop at the incision sites.
