Really is not a big deal. As a hint the nurse found it easier to access the port if I did a small crunch. Does not really hurt. Don't watch if you think it will bother you.

Try no to be nervous. It is such an easy procedure. The needle won't even qualify as a bee sting. Barely feel it.

I go for a fill on the 14th also

Me too

I get my first fill on th 19. I will be anxious to see what you think after having it done. Does anyone ever put ice on it before the needle is inserted? I thought that might make it hurt less.

I had my fill 2 days ago and I too was so scared thinking it was going to hurt, she made me do a kind of stomach crunch and I did not even feel the needle. She just covered with a band aid and off I went. Did notice yesterday I had weird feeling in my stomach, not a stomach ache from eating just a small amount of pain.
