I'm so excited and nervous, it hasn't been easy with all of the doctor appointments and testing I've had to squeeze in with a full time job and a toddler. But I'm so happy I decided to get the lap band I'm not sure what to expect after the surgery as far as my hospital stay is concerned. My hubby stayed with me....I think they figured if he was there it was less work for them.

You will sleep a lot the first 24 hours. Let me correct that...You will try to sleep a lot the first 24 hours....But a nurse will make sure that dosen't happen. haha

Expect to have some pain..but nothing unreasonable. You will be given a liquid diet..I had a couple blood draws...but for the most part it was uneventful.

No hospital stay for me, went to a surgery center. Got there at 5:30am was home before noon...good luck

Same here. I was home before noon.

I stayed 1 night and left the next day around 12pm.

Same here... Was discharged at noon.

I left 3 hours after surgery. But that was way too soon. It was out patient so they kicked me out but I felt I needed 2 more hours. But mine own bed was great.
