Still Tender Above My Belly Button...normal?

Banded on 05/18. I am still sore right above my belly button (I assume this is my port). I only have 4 incisions and 3 of them are tiny and one is larger at my belly button. Directly above my belly button it is still tender. I know I am only 11 days post-op, but does this tenderness go away or remain at the site of the port? I'm mainly asking because I'm in law enforcement and have to wear a gun belt and am trying to keep my uniform and gun belt under my belly button, although it normally is right at my waistline at my belly button. I want to know if I can resume wearing the same pants or if I have to buy men's pants that may fit lower.

I have read that some have port discomfort up to a month out of surgery. Mine went away after week one, but don't be discouraged if yours lingers awhile.

I was banded 4/23 and mine is still tender

Mine is tender any time I do a ab exercises. My surgeon says that this is normal because it is stiched to your muscle.
