Anyone? Am I The Only One In April?
Its funny, I don't even consider myself in bandster hell. It had such a negative ring to it. I just feel like getting to the level of restriction is a process and getting fills until I reach that level is just part of the process. I'm not gaining and that in itself pleases me. I suppose if I thought the weight would melt off then thats kind of a bit much. People that have way more to lose than I do have already lost the 40 pounds im trying to lose at this point, but everyone has a different path.

Hernia Repair During Surgery
I had a hiatal hernia too, and the shoulder pain. I walked and had someone pat my back alot.

What Does "full" Feel Like To You?
I get a tightness across my back.i dont know if thats my full cue or gas but I take it as a full cue and I stop eating. I havent learned my limits yet, so im not in any way interested in pushing them. Im about 5 and a half weeks post op. I hear alot of people say they get hiccups or like that feeling like theres something stuck in your throat. I havent experienced that.

Left Side Pain When I Take Deep Breath
I had that same pain for over three weeks after I was banded on 4/23. It felt like I had a stitch in my side from running too much. It finally went away.and, yes I used the spirometer, maybe that's what helped. I'm unsure, just happy it's gone.

Drinking
I have A glass or two of wine, or sometimes I have vodka in a tall glass of water with a squirt of mio

Summary Of Entire Process -- Start To Finish?
The hernia band program is when they check for a hiatal hernia using the EGD and if you have one then they charge your insurance for going in and doing the hernia repair and you only pay for the cost of the actual band and the insurance picks up the dr fees, surgery cost and facility fees. So in essence I paid $5500 for my lap band. I didnt have to do any waiting, no testing, no evals, no counseling. Just scheduled and thats it. They say most obese people have a hiatal hernia. Heartburn, reflux things like that are indicitive of having a hiatal hernia

First Fill, Not Feeling Any Restriction! Is This Normal?
I don't have any more restriction than I did before my first fill either. I'm staying at a ten pound total loss so far. happy not to be gaining. Ooh and the fill needle didn't hurt me at all.

One Month Banded! Another Newbie!
Congrats! I was banded at almost the same time (4/23). I lost 10 pounds and nothing since. I'm still learning full cues. I've had one fill but can still eat probably more than I should.

Body Bugg?
I'm interested in this too. It's hard to justify the expense since I don't know anyone that has one

Surgical Incisions?
I have 4 small scars and one larger where my port is. I have 40 pounds to lose and I can clearly feel my port by just running my fingers over my abdomen.

Still Tender Above My Belly Button...normal?
I was banded 4/23 and mine is still tender

Fill Tomorrow Ques
I had my first fill Thursday. I was told no food four hours prior. Afterwards liquid until I was comfortable to eat. Lucky I had no swelling.
